Friendly reminder to all that your problems or clues (whichever you choose to call them) for your escape room are due tomorrow. You have the weekend to finish building the 3D model of your room. If you have chosen to digitally create your escape room, please have a way to share it with me.
Division 19, if you have not done your core competency self assessment yet, please follow the link on my previous post and complete it as soon as possible. Party planning must be finalized tomorrow. I still need many toonies in order to purchase whatever food and supplies you want to have at the party. Last week you were assigned your final project for science, the ideagram. This is a poster that is a visual representation of what you have learned in this unit for pure substances and mixtures. Your rubric and criteria is on your OneNote, I have also attached it to this post. The due dates for the poster is June 14(Division 20) and June 15(Division 19).
You have the purple page for "Equations Relay Race" for homework. This is not an easy assignment and if you don't understand it completely that is ok. Do what you can, then we will go over it in the morning on Friday.
You must solve problem 1 before moving to problem 2 as the answer to problem 1 is one of the variables for problem 2. Homework for Tuesday the 29th:
Finish the 4 questions from the beginning of the class. Develop 10 equations following the y=mx+b formula Create a T chart for each equations with a minimum of 3 values for x. Paste your graph sheet into your journal. You should have answered the unit question and done a self-assessment on our previous competencies, however, if you have not, please do because I will be checking Thursday. Hey 7's,
You don't have a lot of homework this weekend, so I expect that it all gets done :). You have one vocabulary term to fill out, which is : Distributive Properties. It is a math term, and you will need to know it for some of the questions in part 2 of your homework. We have discussed it before in class, so it's not new. Second part is the orange sheet. It is a puzzle, similar to the one from the fractions escape room. You should first cut out all the pieces, then answer the questions on a separate piece of paper. Once you have all the answers, you can re-arrange the pieces to make the puzzle work. Either glue or tape it into your math journal. you can tape it together at home and glue it in when you get to school as well. Enjoy the sunshine! We have started algebra. You have 6 vocabulary words that you need to fill out a frayer model sheet for. The terms are: coefficient, constant, equals (=), variable, isolate, distributive properties.
You also need to do the equations on the white note page, as well as the green 2-step equation maze. You also must do a reflection for the last unit. Please answer the question and then choose one of the competencies and reflect on how you have improved in regards to that statement. See picture for question and competencies. Good Evening grade 7's! For homework you have a minimum of 2 things to do, and a possible third for an extra challenge.
1st= do the equations on the 'notes' page - the white sheet. 2nd= the 2-step equation maze. - the green sheet. 3rd= this is your challenge work, which is why we did it in class with adults to help you, the equations relay race- either purple or yellow. If you were in Ms. Janice's room at the end of math and did not return to class before going for nut break, you must come to my room at some point and get the green sheet from the "15" folder, as today is the 15th. For homework this weekend you only have your vocabulary sheets to fill out. the 4 words you have are:
Vocabulary equation variable isolate coefficient enjoy your weekend. Last class you were given 3 graphic organizers to fill out. One of them was used to follow along with the power point, the other 2 were to be filled out afterwards. You must have all these handouts completed for next class.
If you have not completed your plant species identification sheet, please have that completed as well. Thank you. |
